Every brand has a face. Sometimes literally, sometimes just in feeling. At Studio PB.NL, those two came together.
It started with an illustration.
Peter and Birgit ran perfectlybasics for 19 years—one of the first fashion webshops in the Netherlands. Hundreds of thousands of product images. A brand they built with their own hands. And always, in everything they created, a recognizable style.
After perfectlybasics came Studio PB.NL. Their new home. A place for everything they have learned—and everything that is yet to come. The studio logo has featured a female figure within the frame for some time now, based on an illustration by the English illustrator Jason Brooks. An image that became self-evident.
Until Peter decided to bring it to life.
From illustration to human.
With Midjourney, a human portrait emerged—not a copy, but a new interpretation. Then refined with Nano Banana Pro, Google's Gemini-based image tool that turns AI faces into real people. And then came movement via Kling AI. Subtle. Breathing. Alive.
The illustration was no longer just an image. It became a presence.
We call her Zappa.
Not invented behind a desk—but born from the same creative process that has always driven Peter and Birgit. Experimenting. Refining. Pushing through until it’s right.
And that discipline is now at the heart of what Zappa does for you.
The Zappa Engine analyzes your reference image and writes a photographically precise prompt—just as they iterated from illustration to portrait. Image in, instruction out.
Zappa Correct Prompt adjusts that instruction without breaking the structure—not starting over, just continuing the work.
And Post-Production makes the final result webshop-ready—consistent background, perfect crops, immediately usable.
Zappa is proof that these tools work. They have created their own face.
And now they help you build yours.
